Busola Tejumola Assumes New Role As Executive Head, General Entertainment Channels At MultiChoice Group
Leading content strategist, Dr. Busola Tejumola, has been elevated to the position of Executive Head, General Entertainment Channels at MultiChoice Channels, a pay-television company with a wide range of channels offered through its DStv and GOtv platforms.
Prior to her position, she was Executive Head of Content & West Africa Channels at the same company.
Dr. Busola delivers through her decisiveness, extreme focus on customer promise delivery and delight, by demanding data quality, moving beyond survey data and leveraging deep local understanding to grow content led customer value management.
At the helm of content and channel direction for MultiChoice Nigeria, her leadership has been pivotal in delivering captivating African narratives and innovative entertainment solutions. The synthesis of her expertise in new media and communications programs has significantly contributed to enriching the viewing experiences.
Dr. Busola joined MultiChoice in 2012 as Consumer Insights Manager where she was responsible researching and measuring changing consumer trends as well as driving profitability of the business through revenue generation, increased customer satisfaction, and retention.
She then moved to the position of Head, Strategy and Insights where she positively grew both the profitability and reputation of the company with a focused strategic vision on business growth which aligns with existing ethos and ambitions.
At Africa Magic, a subsidiary of MultiChoice she served as GM, Production and was responsible for leading the team that delivered the best African content while constantly raising the standards in the entertainment industry.
Dr. Busola also served as Executive Head, Content of MultiChoice Nigeria Limited using her tactical planning, executive management, content partnerships, talent management, thought leadership, relationship building and digital media
Other places she has served are MWeb Nigeria Limited as Head, Technical Support & Customer Services and iWay Africa Nigeria Limited as Head, CRM/Marketing.
Dr. Busola holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management Information Systems from Brunel University of London as well as an M.Sc in Management Information Systems from University of Surrey. She also hold a B.Sc in Computer Science from University of Ibadan.
