The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the call for nominations for LaPRIGA 2025, the Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards. This year’s edition, themed “Nox Excellentia: The Night of Excellence,” marks the 10th anniversary celebration of the prestigious awards, which spotlight innovation, professionalism, and distinction in public relations practice.
According to a statement signed by Oguchukwu Okeke, Public Relations Officer of the Lagos NIPR, the LaPRIGA Selection Committee invites public relations professionals, agencies, institutions, corporate bodies, media practitioners, and communication experts to submit entries for the 2025 award categories.
LaPRIGA 2025 will recognise excellence across a wide spectrum of the public relations profession. Categories include, but are not limited to, the following:
PR Agency of the Year, Public Sector PR Campaign of the Year, Private Sector PR Campaign of the Year, Excellence in Crisis & Issues Management, Rising Star (Young PR Professional of the Year), Media Excellence (PR Journalist of the Year), Corporate Communication Professional of the Year, Excellence in Entertainment PR, Best Use of Technology in PR, Internal Communications Campaign, Community Relations Excellence, Best in Insight-Driven Communication, Most Influential PR Professional, Evergreen / Lifetime Achievement and Best in Education & Research Communications.
According to the organisers, the tech category will be assessed based on strategic creativity, ethical standards, stakeholder impact, and measurable outcomes. Detailed criteria, eligibility guidelines, and scoring rubrics are available on the Lagos NIPR website — www.lagosnipr.com/lapriga — and at the Chapter Secretariat.
All nominations must be submitted on or before Friday, 28 November 2025. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.

- Complete required information and provide supporting documentation (campaign briefs, results, testimonials, metrics)
- Submit a hard copy to the Lagos NIPR Secretariat, 19 Town Planning Way, Ilupeju, Lagos.
Each nominee can be submitted for multiple categories (where applicable), but must meet the criteria for each.
The Selection Committee encourages all qualified PR professionals, organisations, and media practitioners/houses to take advantage of this opportunity to be recognised for their impactful work in Nigeria’s communications landscape. “As we celebrate a decade of LaPRIGA, let us raise the bar for excellence, creativity, integrity, and innovation in public relations practice.” The selection committee said.
Now in its 10th edition, LaPRIGA (Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala & Awards) is the flagship awards programme of the Lagos State Chapter of NIPR.
