Brandcom Awards 2025: Industry Icons Urge Continuity Of Excellence As Lasting Legacy

Brandcom Awards 2025 recently lit up the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, as industry leaders, brands, and professionals gathered to celebrate excellence, prestige, integrity and credibility.

The event, which took place on Saturday, 8th November 2025, recognized outstanding individuals and corporate achievements, with recipients and industry leaders describing the ceremony as nothing short of success. They emphasized that excellence must be made a legacy that people will be proud of at every point in time

In his remarks, Dr. Ike Neliaku, President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), praised the convener, Joshua Ajayi alongside his wife on the great success achieved over the years, adding that the vision which started as an idea is today accomplished.

He emphasized the need for excellence and continuous improvement, stating that excellence must be made a legacy that people will be proud of at every point in time. He said, “It’s just to demonstrate how important it is to celebrate excellence.  But more importantly, we must make excellence a legacy that people will be proud of at every point in time”.

He narrated a fictitious story about a king who called his team members and shared his vision and concern with them. The team members initially doubted the possibility of the task, yet they agreed to give it a try. They brainstormed for weeks and came up with ideas.

In furtherance to narrating the story, he added that though the first result didn’t go as planned, yet, they refused to give up. According to Neliaku, they remained persistent until they began to succeed. As they continued, they were building on top of what they had built. As a result, they were able to now rise to a higher vocation to the extent that everybody from the community gathered, very happy, very excited that their king had finally risen.

Neliaku compared the king to the organizer of Brandcom Award, Joshua Ajayi, stating that the vision that started a long time ago has been accomplished despite the challenges. He said, “That is how the journey started, that’s how we make a difference – to add value to whatever it is that we are doing”.

Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), commended Joshua and his team for organizing such a massive event.

The event, designed to spotlight and reward exceptional performance across all facets of marketing and brand management, recognized and awarded individuals and corporate giants who were outstanding in their field of influence.

Other industry leaders present at the event include Samuel Ayetutu, Lagos NIPR Chairman, and Tolulope Medebem, President of the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), who also applauded the organizers for sustaining a platform that promotes merit and professionalism.

The evening concluded with a renewed sense of pride and optimism as guests networked and celebrated the milestones achieved within the industry. With each edition, the Brandcom Awards continues to strengthen its reputation as a credible benchmark for excellence, inspiring brands and professionals to uphold values that drive growth, creativity, and lasting impact in Nigeria’s marketing communications landscape.
