BHM’s Founder, Ayeni Adekunle Elected Into Global PRCA Council

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Black House Media Group (BHM) Ayeni Adekunle has been elected into The 2021 PR and Communications Council of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) – the world’s largest professional PR body.
This was announced on Monday by the association in a statement published on its website, and signed by Michael Collins of the PRCA.
Recalled BHM recently joined an elite list of Nigerian and African members of the PRCA.
Ayeni Adekunle, BHM’s Founder and C.E.O has said when the company confirmed its membership of PRCA that the company believes in PRCA’s mission to promote all aspects of public relations and communications and raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.
Ayeni, a renowned former journalist, entrepreneur, writer and published author founded BHM in 2006. Since its establishment, the company has grown to become one of the most promising PR and Comms organisations in Sub Saharan Africa, with standalone brands in media publishing, public relations, digital commerce, music streaming, marketing, information technology and research, working for respected clients across FMCG, ICT, Telecommunications, Finance, Media and Entertainment.
Ayeni Adekunle hails from Ondo State, Southwestern Nigeria. He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos, and his University education at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State where he bagged a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Microbiology. After graduating from the University of Ibadan, he joined Encomium Weekly as showbiz columnist, having had a stint as a feature editor with Hip Hop World Magazine. He then moved to ThisDay, after which he joined The Punch as a columnist in July 2008.
Ayeni Adekunle left The Punch to established Nigeria Entertainment Today (NET), a newspaper and web portal specially dedicated to reportage of entertainment in Nigeria and Africa. It has since become an online platform and is branded TheNETng. He is the convener of Nigeria Entertaiment Conference NEC Live, an annual deliberative conference of Nigerian entertainers drawn from all sectors of creative industry, media and economic policy makers which discusses industry development issues.
