EXMAN Could Have Flawlessly Handled Logistics Of Elections For INEC, Pioneer EXMAN President Says

Following the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections where international observers like the Intercontinental Leadership Initiative and a coalition of INEC Accredited Observers groups lamented that issues like “logistics and security, among others were hindrances to a successful exercise”, Kayode Olagesin, pioneer President of the Experiential Marketing Association of Nigeria, EXMAN, has revealed that the association could have handled logistics for the elections flawlessly.
Olagesin who is also the Managing Director of TownCriers Limited noted that having considered the logistics nightmare that has perennially prevented the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from efficiently managing the elections, he has come to realise that the national elections are not much of a complex project.
Taking to his social media to reveal this, he wrote, “I strongly believe my professional association, EXMAN will flawlessly handle the logistics of this election at half the price and deliver a memorable experience to voters.
“Not only will they vote stress free, but we will also even give them election kits containing refreshments! We will create a special space for elders (those above 60), physically challenged, and pregnant or nursing mothers.
“Let me break it down for you. Going by the numbers declared, less than 30m Nigerians participated in this election. If we assume 300 voters per polling unit with 130 PUs per LGA x 774, we will have 30,186,000 voters. From an execution perspective, you only need about 40 agencies with each one managing roughly 20 LGAs. There is nothing taxing here, at all.
“It is high time government seriously consider contracting ALL the non-security sensitive aspects of the elections to private organisations so they can focus only on the balloting itself and the reporting. It is a huge embarrassment that we keep talking about the same flaws every election cycle. It is time to seriously begin to look at contracting significant logistics aspects of the elections to private companies that can be held accountable.
“EXMAN will deliver a memorable experience to Nigerians and even drive increased footfall through pre-election town-storming. Not only that, the elections will also impact the GDP of each LGA directly as most of the services will be obtained on the ground. Canopies and chairs, DJ and PA system, bouncers to complement Police, food vendors, ushers, hotels, caterers, etc,” he wrote.
The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) is the sectoral trade body for experiential marketing communications agencies in Nigeria. As well as serving as a cooperative of the best experiential marketing agencies in Nigeria, the association supports promotes, and defends the interests of over 45 member agencies, with total billing of over thirty billion nairas through comprehensive core services and platforms.
In 2020, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, ARCON, officially recognized the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria, EXMAN, as a sectoral body in the nation’s advertising ecosystem. The body was formally inaugurated on the 3rd of July in 2013 and had Kayode Olagesin as its pioneer President.
