Standard Chartered Nigeria, Lagos Food Bank Donate Food Items To Vulnerable Families

Standard Chartered Nigeria has partnered with a non-governmental organization, Lagos Food Bank to make food items available to underprivileged women and vulnerable families.

This initiative, which was targeted at reducing hunger and creating more social impact in the communities, was done on the 19th of April, 2024.

Speaking on the event, Acting Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing of the Bank, Joke Adu said, “We are very proud of the volunteering opportunity we had with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative today. As a Bank, we believe in contributing our time, expertise and resources towards improving the various communities where we operate in.

“To achieve this, every employee gets three days every year to volunteer towards various initiatives focused on education, employability, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, relief effort support etc that foster development and economic empowerment in society.

“Today, we have packed and distributed food boxes that will support over 300 families across the state as a testament to our commitment towards making a positive impact in the community. For us this is one of the many ways we continue to reiterate that we are here for good.” she added.
