Foluke Makinde Assumes New Role As Associate Director, Core Categories (Pasta & Noodles) At FMN

Seasoned brand and marketing Amazon, Foluke Makinde has been elevated to the position of Associate Director, Core Categories (Pasta & Noodles) at Flour Mills of Nigeria, the country’s leading integrated food business.
Prior to her new position, She was the Category Lead, Marketing for the company.
Boasting a proven track record in category management and having expertly handled a many portfolio of retail brands, Foluke has consistently driven competitive advantage for her assigned brands by developing value propositions, crafting engaging content and turning customer insights into strategies that drive brand growth and profitability.
She has also championed a lot of initiatives to improve brand awareness, widen brand penetration, increase sales, achieve market share, gain consumer loyalty, monitor and outrun competitors, deliver brand consistency, keep assigned brands fresh and exciting in the minds of consumers.
As a Brand Management expert with speciality in leading multinational FMCG companies in Nigeria, she provides strategic direction in the management of large portfolio of different brands- which are leading brands in their category.
She leads cross-functional teams and provide perceptive on consumer insight /research to initiate, drive and sustain sharp edge competitive advantage for various product group while delivering strong financial results.
Her career journey started at Diamond Bank Plc as an Assistant Service Manager. She then moved to The Tony Elumelu Foundation as Project Manager leading a project on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for private sector investment and economic development. She also worked at Olam and PZ Cussons.
Foluke holds a B.Sc in Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria as well as an MBA in Business Administration, Brand Management & Strategic Marketing from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University.
