Oluwadamilola Olujide Joins United Capital Group As Team Lead, Marketing Communications

United Capital Group has strengthened its brand communications function with the appointment of a seasoned PR and marketing strategist Oluwadamilola Olujide as Team Lead, Marketing Communications, bolstering its external communications capacity as the group continues to expand its market presence across Nigeria’s financial services landscape.

In her new role, Olujide is expected to own and drive the Group’s external communications agenda where she will be overseeing public-facing messaging, business and product marketing communications, PR and media relations, and stakeholder management across the Group. Her mandate is expected to bridges business strategy and market communication, aligning the organisation’s corporate objectives with how it is expressed to the market.

Olujide brings extensive cross-sector experience to the role, having led campaigns for multinational and indigenous brands across FMCG, fintech, financial services, health, education, pay TV, and government. Her appointment reflects the Group’s commitment to ensuring that its communications are, in her words, “clear, consistent, credible, and aligned with corporate brand strategy.”

Prior to joining United Capital Group, she served as Consultant, Strategy and Business Management at Chain Reactions Africa, where she led strategy development and client management for a portfolio of high-profile brands including Indomie Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria, Promasidor Nigeria, Polaris Bank, and the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, among others. She also held roles at SOL PR and LSF PR, steering major campaigns for MultiChoice Nigeria, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Pernod Ricard, and Blue Band.

Notable projects in her career include the MultiChoice Talent Factory initiative, the relaunch of Big Brother Naija, and the Federal Government’s Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS), a campaign that required navigating complex stakeholder environments at the highest levels of public-sector communications.

Olujide holds a Master of Science degree in Media and Communications from Pan-Atlantic University and a B.Sc. in History and International Studies from Redeemer’s University. She is an associate member of both the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and holds professional certifications from Alphabet Media Academy, O2 Academy, and Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK.
