Illyas Kazeem Now Marketing Director, Eat ‘N’ Go

Ilyas Kazeem has been elevated from the position of Marketing Manager for Nigeria’s Quick Service Restaurant and leading pizza brand, Domino’s Pizza to the position of Marketing Director for Eat ‘N’ Go, a Premiere Quick Service Restaurant company and parent company of Domino’s.
In his new position, Kazeem will be in charge of marshalling the marketing direction for the brands under Eat ‘N’ Go. These brands will include Domino’s Pizza, Pinkberry, its premium gourmet frozen yoghurt brand and Coldstone Creamery, its ice cream flagship.
In his reaction in a LinkedIn post, Kazeem wrote: “this is a super big stride for me. I am now saddled with the overall responsibility of leading our entire marketing team continuing the perfect job done by Amalia Sebakunzi-Widder (the erstwhile Marketing Director of the company) thus far.”
While thanking the management team at the company for their visionary leadership and believing in him, Kazeem expressed hope for an exciting future. “I am looking forward to exciting times ahead, with constant and better offerings and a consistent delivery of superior products and services to our customers,” he said.
Kazeem’s illustrious career covers over 12 years of marketing communications experience globally and regionally across all segments of marketing, ranging from Category Design to Product Development for Sub Saharan Africa, Category/Brand Management for East and West Africa, Marketing Brand Communication for West Africa , Sales, GTM plans and Distributor Plans Development, Content management, Agency Management, Entertainment( Social) and Education.
Prior joining Eat ‘N’ Go in 2018, he was the Senior Brand Manager at Hayat Kimya where he successfully lead such brands like Molfix and Familia to disrupt the market in their various category, with Molfix becoming a market leader in less than three years (a feat very few brands in Nigeria can boast of).
He began his career in 2008 with HiTv, where he was the Head of Unit, Scheduling. He left in 2011 to join Procter & Gamble as Media Manager, West Africa, rising steadily through the ranks before getting to the position of Assistant Brand Leader for Femcare for the FMCG giants in 2016.
Kazeem is an alumnus of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho where he bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2005 and a Master in Business Administration in 2014. He is currently studying Global Business Management at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
