Oluwayemisi Adekunle has joined the services of Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company, as the head of Corporate Affairs and Communications after her exit from SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc, a member of SUNU Group.

Prior to joining Pfizer, she was the Head, Brand Communications of SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc where she spearheaded the rebranding activities of the organisations and brand marketing operations along with team members.

At Pfizer, she is expected to provide strategic and operational leadership as regards Corporate Affairs and Communications.

She is also expected to work with the Sub Saharan Africa Corporate Affairs team, Health & Value, Commercial and Medical teams to increase patient’s access to Pfizer breakthroughs, drive pro-innovation and pro-patient policies, increase corporate reputation, internally and externally; while orchestrating the full spectrum of activities needed to achieve business goals with strict adherence to compliance.

It is noteworthy that Oluwayemisi is a Senior Marketing, Branding and Communications Professional with over 20 years of experience in launching products, coordinating branding activities, resolving communication bottlenecks, managing media relations, as well as creating and implementing innovative and forward thinking marketing strategies.

She is also skilled in managing operations, teams, and processes to propel revenue increases and reduce cost while realizing enhanced corporate success and productivity.

Oluwayemisi started her career at The Quadrant Company as Media Relations Executive before joining The Shops Advertising as Copy Executive and later joined Herald and Times Group as Freelance Journalist. Thereafter, she worked at TBWA\CONCEPT, Insight Marketing and Communications Ltd, Truly An Event, Graceful Heritage Media Limited, Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, ACCION Microfinance Bank Ltd, The Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria (CEAN),  Konga Online Shopping Ltd and SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc before joining Pfizer.

Oluwayemisi is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) English of University of Ilorin and did a course in Marketing Communication and Selling Skills from School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University.
