After six months of supporting SMEs across the country, the MTN Revv Programme’s initial virtual engagement sessions will be coming to a close with a ceremony. The closing ceremony is scheduled to hold virtually on Monday the 14th of December, 2020, at 10AM.

The Revv Programme was initiated to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by building capacity in business management. The programme is built on a four-pronged approach that includes masterclasses, access to market, productivity tools support and advisory initiatives. It seeks to help SMEs relearn, rethink and retool their businesses for growth in the emerging digital economy.

In line with the digital economy drive of the government, the Revv Programme has delved into major macro-level issues, re-igniting the economy and driving digital inclusion for SMEs.

Working with relevant stakeholders, subject-matter experts and the company’s seasoned executives, the programme supported over 10,000 SMEs beginning with masterclasses for digital literacy, business management and execution abilities necessary to accelerate growth. The masterclasses delivered by MTN executives along with industry experts highlighted the core areas of business management such as brand and customer management, digital skills, financing methods, risk and crisis management, and expanding customer bases.

MTN Revv also included an engagement session, Y’ello Clinic where panellists answered questions from participants as well as the Y’ello 200, a selection of top-performing SMEs at the sessions. This chosen 200 will enjoy exclusive access to a broad range of technology productive tools and services for six months. They will be announced during the closing ceremony.

Asides the masterclasses, MTN Nigeria has promised participants cloud access, data and voice funding through collaborations with partners from MTN’s Enterprise Business division as well as access to new markets using MTN’s social media platforms. This first phase of the programme has brought together a combination of MTN’s Enterprise Business partners’ solutions and provided robust education and learning for the 21st-century business owners.
