Patricia Technologies Limited, a fintech solutions provider company, has promoted its former Head of Marketing, Oluwarotimi Ogunwede to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

As CMO, Ogunwede will be overseeing the PR & Corporate Communications, lead generation, demand generation, lead nurturing, creative design and execution, sales and retention, outbound prospecting, BTL and traditional marketing and branding / messaging of the company.

It is noteworthy that Patricia focuses on ensuring ease of access to alternative banking and financial solutions that empower customers to process cryptocurrencies as means of payments for goods and services, while also being the largest cryptocurrency trader in Africa.

Meanwhile, when Ogunwede was the Head of Marketing, he was responsible for crafting strategies for all marketing teams, including digital, advertising, communications and creative for the company. He also prepared and managed monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the marketing department, while other roles include setting, monitoring and reporting on team goals among others.

Prior to joining Patricia, he was the Marketing Manager, Communications and PR for bike hailing giants, Max.ng.

He commenced his professional journey at Applied Business Tech Ltd as an Associate Network Engineer in 2008 where he worked for close to two years before heading to Ascorp Energy as a Marketing Executive. Barely a year later, he joined Visual Glisten as its Chief Creative Director.

In 2013, he joined MediaReachOMD as a Media Consultant. He left more than three years later as an Executive Media Consultant to join BrandEye Media. At BrandEye Media, he rose to become the Manager, Strategy and planning but left after barely a year to join Cheil Nigeria; the in-house marketing unit of Samsung Electronics West Africa, as a Media Manager. He was there until 2019 when he joined Max.ng.

He holds a B.Sc in Computer Science from the Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Also, he holds several certifications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – College of Business where he bagged Digital Analytics for Marketing Professionals: Marketing Analytics in Practice, Digital Marketing Channels: The Landscape and Digital Marketing Channels: Planning.
