Olamide Jasanya, an accomplished corporate and marketing communications professional, has joined Heirs Insurance as the company’s Team Lead, Corporate Communications & CSR after he left the services of Sterling Bank Plc.
As Sterling Bank Plc he was the Product Marketing Manager (Virtual Bank) of the financial institution.
In his new role at Heirs Insurance, he will be responsible for providing overall direction and support to the team and ensure the corporate reputation of both Heirs Insurance and Heirs Life are intact and also ensures that both companies enjoy positive perception from all relevant stakeholders.
Also, he is expected to provide strategic communications support to ensure the company’s intent, product and service are well understood by customers and every of its stakeholders.
Olamide started his career as a journalist, first as a Programme Anchor (Agricultural Affair Channel) at the Nigerian Television Authority and a Senior Correspondent at the Nigerian Entertainment Today.
Under the BHM Group (owner of Nigerian Entertainment Today) he joined ID Africa as Digital Media Executive and later moved to its public relations arm, Black House Media (BHM) as its Public Relations Executive.
After a successful career at BHM, he joined Brooks and Blake as Consultant. He represented the agency at meetings to present proposals, discuss strategies and relevant issues with clients. He also managed end to end, execution of agreed activities and campaigns among others
He later joined RED | For Africa as the agency’s Senior Communication Associate where he recommended strategies and ideas to help boost client’s reputation and achieve marketing target based on close monitory of client’s industry and competition.
Thereafter, he joined Sterling Bank Plc as Product Marketing Manager (Virtual Bank) where he was in charge of online and offline campaigns to communicate essence of the Bank’s digital products and ensure the target audience understand and adopt them. It was after that he left the bank to join Heirs Insurance.
Olamide is a graduate of Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). He also holds a Masters in Business Administration, Marketing/Marketing Management from the University of Lagos.
Other certification that he holds include: Certificate in Strategic Marketing at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University; Certificate in Professional Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing; Diploma Certificate from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; and Diploma in Business Sustainability, Business Sustainability Management & Corporate Social Responsibility from the Centre for Sustainability Leadership.
