Ose Osundeko Exits Fidelity Bank, Joins Digitas Nigeria As COO

Renowned digital marketing expert and former Group Head, Digital Marketing of Fidelity Bank, Ose Osundeko has exited the financial institution to join Digitas Nigeria, a member of Publicis as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). 

Digitas is a global marketing and technology agency that transforms businesses for the digital age.

In her new role, she will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and operations of the organisation including building a close -knit team, partnering with clients to achieve their marketing objectives, and capitalising on opportunities for expansion into new markets. 

Noteworthy, while at Fidelity Bank as the Group Head, Digital Marketing, she and her team  grew the Bank’s digital presence and all activities related to online.

Remarkably, Osundeko has become a digital marketing proponent executing award-winning campaigns across, FMCG, Telecoms, Financial Services, and Beverage brands. Also, she contributes to the growth of the industry, such as facilitating training for Google Nigeria and the School of Media, Pan Atlantic University. 

Similarly, she is passionate about not-for-profit social causes and career mentorship. She has also won several notable industry awards which include the Women in Marketing and Communications Conference/Awards (WIMCA) organised by leading brands and marketing publication, Brand Communicator. 

Interestingly, she was introduced to Digital marketing over a decade ago while managing some of the world’s biggest charity brands including the British Red Cross, WWF & Cancer Research UK.

Prior to joining Fidelity Bank, he was the Head, Digital Marketing of Starcom Media Perspectives. At the agency, she led the digital team covering display advertising, organic and paid search, content marketing, email marketing & CRM, mobile marketing, digital analytics, and strategy.

Also, she developed, managed, and delivered digital marketing strategy for clients which helped them achieve various objectives including awareness, engagement, lead generation, customer acquisition, and others.

Before joining Starcom Media Perspectives, she worked at Wild Fusion Digital Centre (WDC) as the Digital Centre Manager and was responsible for project managing the training centre into existence, deepening the quality and range of the training programmes, and materialising the aim of building the digital space in Nigeria.

Similarly, prior to joining WDC, Osundeko worked as a Client Account Manager for Listen Fundraising UK, raising funds for various charitable organisations through integrated marketing campaigns valued at tens of thousands to millions of pounds. She also served as a Marketing and External Relations Manager at an educational institution where she managed all aspects of the organisation’s marketing activities.

A strong academic background in marketing backs up Osundeko’s experience in various marketing roles. Her qualifications include an MSc in Strategic Marketing with Distinction from Durham University Business School and a First-Class BA in Management with an emphasis in Marketing and minors in Psychology and Media Communication from Webster University. She is also a Google Certified Professional, Google Certified Trainer, and Certified Training Professional by the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland. She is passionate about marketing and she is an active proponent of digital marketing.
