MIPAN, OAAN Hold Annual Health Walk Against Kidney Failure March 12

Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) in partnership with the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has announced that its annual Health Walk Against Kidney Failure will hold on Saturday, March 12th, 2021.
Recall, the event was earlier scheduled for Saturday, October 16th, 2021 but was postponed till this year to commemorate the World Kidney. Basically, World Kidney Day is a global campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys. Also, globally this year’s event will hold Thursday, 10th March with the theme “Kidney Health for All – Bridge the gap to better kidney care.”
MIPAN said the health walk is to show support and create awareness around health issues like Kidney failure. They also want to create awareness on the causes, symptoms, early warnings, and different stages of kidney challenges. They equally want to help highlight conditions that can help prevent or tackle kidney failure, as research has shown that there are appropriate exercises that can be t the kidneys.
The association also stated that the event would also feature a talk about kidney failure and aerobics.
“The walk starts at 7:30 am with a brief talk from trained medical personnel about Kidney Failure, there will be 3 points for refreshments along the journey, and we have made adequate provision for security and traffic personnel.
“For those coming with cars, please park at Police College by 7 am and there will be buses to convey you to LTV grounds.”
