Wavemaker Nigeria Appoints Soji Olaogun As Managing Director

Consummate media professional, Soji Olaogun has been appointed as the Managing Director of Wavemaker Nigeria, a part of Group M, WPP’s global media investment management company.
He will be overseeing the management of the agency that recently won the media account of FrieslandCampina WAMCO account among other brands under its portfolio.
Wavemaker, a media agency, is the second-largest media agency network in the world. The company that is now the fourth agency to manage the Friesland account since November 2018, was formed in 2017 from the merger of MEC and Maxus. The agency’s domestic and international clients include Vodafone, L’Oréal, IKEA, Paramount Pictures, Chanel, GE, Xerox, Colgate-Palmolive, Chevron, Beiersdorf, Tiffany, Huawei, and Mondelēz International.
Noteworthy, Soji is a consummate media professional with over 19 years’ experience in Marketing Communications and Media Management across the Nigerian market spanning major categories including FMCGs (Cadbury, GSK), Financial sector (CBN, GTBank, Access Bank), Airlines (Emirates), Alcoholic Beverage (Heineken, Guinness, Gulder, Star) & Non-Alcoholic Beverage (Pepsi, 7up), Telcos (Econet, MTN) and Oil & Gas (Mobil, Total, Shell) amongst others. His key strengths are analytic thinking, team-building and he believes in pushing boundaries in the pursuit of out-of-the-box solutions to business challenges.
Before joining Wavemaker, he was the General manager of Algorithm Media where he was responsible for overseeing all the agency’s media planning activities. Algorithm Media is one of the leading media specialist communications agency in Lagos – Nigeria, affiliated to MediaCom and Mindshare under GroupM, one of the largest media and advertising networks in the world
He is an Associate member of NIMN with 17+ years experience (Insight, SO&U, Maximedia-Zenith Optimedia) in Media strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation.
