Stanislaus Martins Climbs Higher At Aleph As Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa

Marketing communications expert, Stanislaus Martins, has been promoted to the position of Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa at Aleph Group, a digital global advertising powerhouse.

In his new role, he will take on broader regional responsibilities, overseeing Aleph’s operations across Sub-Saharan Africa, as the company continues to expand its footprint in some of the continent’s fastest-growing digital markets.

Martins brings more than 20 years of experience spanning agency, client-side, and platform leadership. His career journey reflects a deep understanding of the evolving marketing landscape across Africa.

He began his career at Insight Publicis, where he held multiple roles, including IT Executive, Interim Head of Digital, and Group Head of Digital, working on major brands such as Pepsi, MTN, Coca-Cola, and Nestlé.

He later moved client-side to Jumia, where he played a key role in scaling advertising and growth as Head of Performance Marketing and later as Head of Growth, Marketing and Advertising.

Martins also had a significant stint at Meta, where he served as Global Business Group – Partner Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, he was instrumental in rolling out Meta’s Authorised Sales Partnership programme in Nigeria and Ghana.

Prior to his promotion, he served as Managing Director for West Africa at Aleph, where he led a multi-million-dollar operation representing global platforms including Google, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, and Uber.

His new role expands that mandate across Sub-Saharan Africa, positioning him at the forefront of Aleph’s growth strategy in the region.

Beyond his leadership credentials, Martins is widely recognised for his strong advocacy for the practical application of artificial intelligence in business growth.

He has trained marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams across leading organisations such as Nestlé, MTN, and Konga, focusing on hands-on AI adoption, digital sales, and performance marketing.

His work spans the deployment of advanced tools and platforms, leveraging technologies such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for execution, alongside Midjourney and DALL·E for creative production, and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.

Over the years, he has spoken at major industry platforms and built strong relationships across global agency networks, including Publicis, Dentsu, Omnicom, and WPP.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria, Martins is also a Certified Digital Marketing Expert from the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland.

He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ibadan, a Senior Management Programme certificate from Lagos Business School, and a Doctorate in Strategic Management from Rome Business School.
