Lovelyn Okoye Assumes New Role As Head Of Sustainability At SBC

Sustainability professional, Lovelyn Okoye has recently been promoted to the position of Head of Sustainability at Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC).
In her new position, she will be leading sustainability strategy development, ESG gap assessment and integration, Circular Economy leadership, Decarbonisation and Environmental Sustainability management.
Speaking on the promotion, she said “this opportunity allows me to continue championing sustainable best practices while expanding my responsibilities to include driving the Environmental management system, ensuring Environmental compliance and stewardship”
Prior to her position, she was senior sustainability manager at the same company.
Lovelyn is a passionate sustainability influencer, empowering individuals and organizations to embrace eco-friendly practices and reduce their environmental footprint with over 12 years of experience in sustainability, process improvement and systems optimization,
She has developed a unique understanding of the complex relationships between business, society, and the environment. Her mission is to inspire and educate others to join me in creating a more sustainable world.
Her focus area includes climate change mitigation and adaptation; renewable energy and sustainable technologies; circular economy and waste reduction; sustainable living, business and conscious consumerism; environmental policy and advocacy.
Her career journey span across different companies which include Dozzy Group; Nestle Nigeria; and Dangote Cement Plc.
Lovelyn holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Ajayi Crowther University and has also earned certification in Sustainability Studies, including Key Essentials of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Law, from the University of Cambridge.
