APCON Holds Two-Day Creative Workshop

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, is set to commence training for creative professionals and people who seek to understand the core principles of marketing communications.

APCON said that the workshop is designed to explore the dimensions of creativity in providing solutions to business and marketing communications challenges.

The courses will expose participants to contemporary tools, and the process of creative development and execution.

The sessions will be taken by seasoned facilitators in the creative industry. They include Lanre Adisa, CEO Noah’s Ark Communications Ltd, Ozoemena Mbanefo, Art Group Head, Kelechi Nwosu, CEO TBWA/Concept, Group Managing Director, Femi Adelusi, BrandEye/BrandBox, Steve Babaeko, Founder of X3M Ideas, Julia Oku-Jacks, CEO, TreeWater Limited, Carol Ofem, Director of Strategy, Yellow Brick Road, Dotun Babatunde, Head of Digital Marketing, Olam Nigeria, Anthony Ekun, Creative Director at SO&U, and Chamberlaine Ukenedo, Creative Director, 141 Worldwide Ltd.

The workshop will hold between 27 and 28 April at L’EOLA Hotel, Maryland Estate, Lagos.

According to the organisers, the courses to be taught during the workshop include Communication and Advertising, Understanding a Creative Brief, Strategic Thinking, Short and Sweet, Connecting Words with Picture, Ideas First, Media Strategy, New Media/Digital Campaigns, Naija Advertising, and Case Study.
