Xiaomi Appoints Michael Osamwonyi As Integrated Marketing Manager

Marketing professional Michael Osamwonyi has joined the global Chinese consumer electronics and high-quality mobile communications company, Xiaomi as Integrated Marketing Manager for the Nigerian Market. 

Michael is a skilled marketing professional with a proven track record of executing award-winning campaigns that drive growth and market share for diverse brands in Nigeria, saddled with the responsibility of boosting the brand’s visibility and ensuring brand positioning.

Michael joined Xiaomi from Riquesa Africa, an integrated marketing company, where he was Marketing Operations Manager and was instrumental to the success of various projects & campaigns from Nigerian Breweries, Samsung, Red Bull, Dano, and OPPO. 

He started his career at Quorum Experience Managers as Brand Manager and later moved to Brand Footprint Communications as Account Manager (Brand) where he was responsible for developing and maintaining favourable relationships with new and existing clients to increase revenue and among others. 

He later joined GDM Group as Marketing Manager where he served as the project lead for the entire launch and commercialization of Guinness Smooth in the East, North, Central, and West divisions based on the business portfolio expansion strategy. He was also responsible for ensuring growth and penetration of the launch across 3 key pillars i.e Distribution, Recruitment, and Awareness, to deliver business objectives. Thereafter, he joined Riquesa Africa.

He holds a B.Tech in Management Technology Project Management from the Lagos State University among other professional certifications.
