Toluwalase Samuel Appointed WPP’s Global Account Manager

Nigerian consummate Account manager and marketing communications professional, Toluwalase Samuel has been appointed by the world’s largest advertising firm, WPP as its Global Account Manager.
WPP Plc is British multinational communication, advertising, public relations, technology, and commerce holding company headquartered in London, England. It was the world’s largest advertising company, as of 2019, according to Wikipedia.
Samuel is a media planner with granular knowledge and practice in Media planning and Strategy- (offline and online media), Client Servicing, and Data Analytics. He also possesses a deep understanding of Marketing and Communications and has managed brands ranging from Banking, FMCGs, Paid TV (Cable), and Tech across Africa (Nigeria) and Europe (United Kingdom).
He started his advertising career in Nigeria as an Advertising Intern at STB-McCANN. He later moved to 141 Worldwide (now Nitro 121) as Creative Writer/Copy where he was responsible for the creation of ad copies for related Brands within the FMCG Category.
Thereafter, he joined mediaReach OMD as a Competitive/ Data Intelligence Analyst and was responsible for Trend Analysis for FMCG & Banking Categories, quantitative and qualitative analysis of competing brands, and preparation of data rationale for Media Strategy, Planning, and Buying. He was later elevated to the position of Media Planning and Account Management at the agency.
He later joined Publicis Media in the United Kingdom as a Senior Account Executive where he was responsible for Account Management across Automobile, Finance, and FMCG Categories; Team Management (Display, Radio, SEO, OOH, and Print); Media planning across Online and Offline Media; and Evaluation of Team Weekly and Monthly Report. It was after he left Publicis Media that he joined WPP.
He holds a B.A in Communication And Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and a Master of Science -Marketing and Management from the University of Birmingham. He also holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Alison, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Dublin City University, and a Certificate of Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility from the London Business School among other certifications.
He emerged the 1st Runner Up, Cannes Young Lions Competition (France), and 1st Runner Up, Dubia Lynxx National Young Pitchers Award, both in 2019.
