Brands and agencies that are still planning to submit entries for the 2023 Loeries Award, should note that entries for the most popular brand communications award will be closing on Wednesday, May 31.

However, submission after the deadline date will attract a 10% late entry fee charge.

The entries have been flowing in good numbers in preparation to mark its 45th anniversary.

Speaking on the closing date, the Chairman of the Loeries, Sbu Sitole said, “This date always makes me nervous because it means it is time to get to work. And our industry works very hard; it goes through Blood, Sweat, and Tears, so is important to celebrate the work we put in and be acknowledged by our peers.”

Speaking on the plan, Sewraj said, “The last few years have not been normal as COVID-19 and the lockdowns meant that we could not hold our normal judging sessions and Creative Week activities. Our Awards celebrations were also curtailed. Now, normalcy is returning”

The Loeries constantly evolves its entry categories to be in-line with the innovation in the brand communication industry.

“At its core, the Loeries is all about creative innovation,” says Loeries CEO, Preetesh Sewraj, “You cannot win a Loerie if you do not demonstrate innovation and the newly launched categories will ensure that judges will experience one of their most innovative years of judging.”

As Africa and the Middle East’s premier award that recognizes, rewards, inspires, and fosters creative excellence in the advertising and brand communication industry, winning a Loerie is the highest accolade for creativity and innovation across our region. The Loeries, a proudly not-for-profit company, promotes and supports creativity by helping marketers, agencies and consumers appreciate the value of fresh thinking, innovative ideas, and outstanding execution.

For over 45 years, The Loeries has been celebrating the iconic and innovative work of brands, agencies, and production companies as well as individuals as they pursue communication that creates a positive impact on the lives of consumers and the economy.
