MTN Raises Bar! Emerges Official Broadcast Sponsor Of EPL On Supersports

MTN, Nigeria’s largest mobile telecommunications services provider, and official communication partner of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is poised to make the 2023-24 English Premier League season a memorable experience for soccer fans in Nigeria.
The premium telco brand is doing this through a strategic partnership with Supersport as the official sponsor of the English Premier League on the pay-TV platform.

To mark this partnership that is set to bring the English Premier League experience closer to Nigerian fans, MTN unveiled it with a live viewing session of the Chelsea versus Liverpool match last Sunday. The event took place at Whitestone Event centre, 3 Billings Way, Oregun, Lagos.

In his comment at the occasion, Oladipo Jolaosho- MTN Regional General Manager Lagos said that “ MTN is a brand that is known for Innovation so what we are bringing into EPL is quality experiences, Innovation and we are taking everything to the next level.

“This partnership is very important because it is symbolic of MTN’s continuous effort to enable and drive progress in Nigeria, particularly in the sports with the most following in Nigeria, which is Football”.

Also speaking, Friday Okuwe- MTN Senior Manager, Brand Management, Masterbrand, Sponsorship and Media said; “Why we’re doing this is because we are passionate about consumers, we are passionate about their satisfaction and we like to follow the things that matter to them.

“We know that football is a big thing for our subscribers across the nation so we want to deepen the amazing experience this game brings.”

With this development, the 2023/24 EPL Season promises to be more exciting because MTN has a history of innovation, and support for the progress stories of Nigerians, athletes, fans, and sports in Nigeria, both at developmental and professional levels.

Those present at the event include World Cup heroine, Azeezat Osoala, some other stars of the female national team, the Falcons, Executives of Supersports, as well as fans of Chelsea and Liverpool who came to celebrate with MTN in the brand’s continuous effort to drive progress in Nigeria through football.
