The Ogun state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will play host for the 2024 edition of the NIPR Annual General Meeting schedule to hold in April next year from the 22nd through to the 26th.
This information was made know by the Chairman of the Ogun state chapter of the institute, Ms. Seun Boye, during her welcome address at its Annual Cocktails and Get-together held held recently, at the Mitros Residences Hall, Ibara Abeokuta.
Speaking on the outgoing year, Boye who is also a Corporate Affairs Manager with International Breweries noted, “I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to reflect on a year that has been very remarkable to us as a Chapter. From the outset of January to this festive December evening, our journey has been defined by dedication, resilience, hard work all by the grace of Almighty God and with the support of all our distinguished members and friends.”
Speaking on the gains for the chapter and on the AGM, she revealed, “It is interesting to note that one of our past Chairmen is now a member of Council at the national level of the of the Institute. I am super excited to also announce that the NIPR Ogun State Chapter will be hosting the Institute annual AGM tagged Nigeria Public Relations Week holding between April 22nd and 26, 2024 here in Abeokuta by the special grace of God. The event shall be a convergence of PR professionals across the 36 States both from Government and the Private Sector.
“In the past one year, when the present Executive Council took over the mantle of leadership of this Chapter, we have left no stone unturned at ensuring that NIPR activities are revived through our various programmes, we have also ensured that all our “run-away” members are back to the fold, while a good number of those who were yet to be re-certified have done so.
“Permit me to use this medium to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of Ogun NIPR, particularly our elders, ever supportive members and let me specially recognize my excos who have journeyed with me to render selfless service without any financial gains. Thank you immensely for your tireless efforts, creativity, and unwavering commitment which have been the driving force behind our collective success,” she concluded.
