Babatunde Shobanjo Moves Up The Ladder, Now GCOO/GGM, Insight Redefini

High flying marketing communication professional, Babatunde Shobanjo has yet again moved up the ladder at Insight Redefini, one of the largest integrated marketing communications groups on the continent, following his elevation to the position of Group General Manager/Group Chief Operating Officer for the group.
In his new position, Shobanjo will be at the helm of spearheading operations of the group which comprises six prominent marketing communication companies across West Africa, among many other functions.
A professional with over 14 years extensive experience in developing innovative marketing strategies and campaigns that drive business growth, Shobanjo’s deep passion for defining, developing, and executing business vision as well as his dedication to ensuring that people and processes are in place to support business strategies and deliver results has seen him lead teams to deliver industry defining campaigns for clients’ businesses over the years.
Prior his promotion, he was the Group Director and Business Development of the company where was responsible for spearheading efforts toward increasing Insight Redefini’s revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as expanding the Group’s presence, among other functions.
Shobanjo’s professional journey began at Dimeo & CoChicago Illinois followed by Grey Advertising London where he served as the Account Manager, he then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi London and Insight Communications.
He spent over nine remarkable years at Leo Burnett Lagos, where he served in various capacities and rose meteorically through the ranks. He started as Account Director, then to Business Director/Head, Account Management, and finally Head of Business/Chief Operating Officer.
Skilled in Media management, Advertising, Marketing communications, Marketing strategy, integrated marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital strategy, Brand Development, Brand Development, Social Media Marketing, Relationship Marketing, Business Strategy among others, Babatunde Shobanjo is an alumnus of the Wilberforce University, Ohio where he obtained a B.Sc. in Business. He also has certifications from the London Business School.
