In what has been described as a well overdue development, a Public Relations expert and veteran who is also an adjunct at the School of Media & Communication, Pan Atlantic University, Chido Nwakanma, has released his debut book, ‘Media Relations Playbook: 25 Proven Effective Hacks’.
This latest contribution to the media management ecosystem is expected to impact the practice of perception management businesses and boost knowledge on the vibrant media relations aspect of Public Relations.
To share the news, Nwakanma wrote on his LinkedIn page, “It took a while to come out. I am glad to announce to friends, family, and colleagues that I have delivered Nigeria’s much-awaited guide to media relations management. Media Relations Playbook is an invaluable book on a core specialism in public relations.”
He added, “Media Relations Playbook offers a guide to tested and proven routes to success in media relations management in Nigeria and Africa. It is an exploration and dimensioning of my experiences in the field. The book explores and dimensions professionals’ experiences and places the issues in contemporary developments in public relations.
“It fills a gap in theory and practice and also represents a contribution towards improving the practice of media management, where professionals must identify and locate critical media management issues within the current theory and global practice standards,” he wrote.
While the soft copy of the magazine is already selling on platforms like Amazon and Selar.com, he assures that hard copies of the book will soon be in circulation.
With the release of the new book, Nwakanma revealed that another publication from him will soon be released: “Expect soon its companion on Client Relations management that I titled Romancing The King.”
