Burna Boy Emerges Africa’s Most Followed Artists On Spotify

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy has emerged as the most followed African artist on Spotify with 8.1m followers on the streaming platform.

According to the report released in 2023 by Spotify Wrapped, he was also the most streamed artiste in Africa.

Amr Diab, an Egyptian singer and actor comes second on the list with 6.8m followers. Wizkid is number five on the list with 4.9m followers while Davido is number seven with 4.37m followers.

Rema is ranked number eight with 4m followers.

According to the list released by the streaming platform which consist of 18, there are 10 Nigerians, four Egyptians, two Moroccans, one Algerian, and one South African.

The list include Burna Boy with 8.1 m, Amr Diab (6.8 m), Sherine (5.45m), Soolking (5m), Wizkid (4.9m), Tamer Hosny (4.6m), Davido (4.37m), Rema (4m), Seether (3.3m), Asake (2.85m), Ayra Starr (2.46m), Fireboy (2.419m), Kizz Daniel (2.418m), ElGrandeToto (2.353m), Hamza Namira (2.353m), Omah Lay (2.34m), Saad Lamjarred (2.058m) and Olamide (2.051m).
