Nasarawa To Partner NIPR On Public Relations Finishing School Project, Donates Land
The Nasarawa State Government has has revealed that it is committed to partnering with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on the Public Relations Finishing School which is a major project of the current Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
This was made known during a visit by the NIPR leadership in Abuja to the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule. At the meeting, the Governor said that the Nasarawa State Government is ready to partner with the Institute on the Finishing School project, which aims to offer young professionals and interested old practitioners the opportunity to sharpen skills for effective reputation building and management.
In his words, “Nasarawa State is not only interested in the PR Finishing School proposal, but will lead with a portion of land for you”, noting that the State Government is committed to prompt processing of the Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) for the facility at no cost to the NIPR”
Speaking during the visit, the NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said that the PR Finishing School represents a transformative professional and educational endeavour that promises mutual benefits for the country and its host communities.
“With strategic partnerships already secured with reputable institutions globally, including access to the 320,000 members of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management, spanning 126 countries across five continents, we anticipate significant global attention for the eventual host”, Neliaku added.
Neliaku informed that the Governing Council of the Institute will at its 109th meeting scheduled for Sunday, 14th April, 2024, consider bids from various States of the Federation on this subject and take a decision on where the NIPR Finishing School will be located.
