EXMAN, LBS Debut Management Programme, Explore Future Of Marketing, Others

With a focus on the future of experiential marketing in the continent, particularly in Nigeria, the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) in collaboration with Lagos Business School (LBS), has held a maiden edition of Experiential Marketing Management Programme (EMMP1).

The two-day event which took place at the LBS recently, had Tunji Adeyinka, GMD Republican Group, the keynote speaker, speak on the topic “Future of Experiential Marketing in Nigeria”.

The event had distinguished speakers across the experiential marketing industry,featured inspiring discussions, hands-on workshop, group challenges, innovative presentations and actionable steps towards the growth of experiential marketing across Nigeria.

The first day of the management programme with a central theme “Experiential Mindshift: Reinvent, Reflect and Transform”, had different sessions which included a brainstorming Panel Discussion: “Navigating Operational Challenges in Experiential Marketing”, a panel session with seasoned speakers such as Kayode Olagesin, Manager Director at Town Criers Limited; Julius Agenmomen, Group MD/ CEO of BrandLife; Sola Antwi, COO at Divergent Limited and was moderated by Nana Milagrosa Utomi, Chief Experience Officer for MPXM.

Day one also featured “Getting Strategic Planning Right for Experiential Marketing Exercises best-cases role play” which was facilitator- Chris Ogbechie, Dean of LBS, an Innovation Challenge Kickoff, where teams were formed across practice groups for a creative challenge, Felix King, MD/CEO of Oracle Experience Limited; Kehinde Salami, Group Chief Executive at Ideas Holding; Rosemary Akpo, Managing Director at EXP Marketing  Nigeria and  Ekeno Eyo, CEO the Redwolf Company were jury who judged the challenges.

Day two of the marketing management programme with the theme “Actionable Solutions: Innovate, Implement, Succeed”, also had different sessions which included an interactive case-based workshop tagged “Understanding the Client and Consumer Landscape Insights from LBS- EXMAN study and was facilitated by Uchenna Uzo, a professor of marketing in LBS, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos and Innovation Challenge: Teams work and group presentation and was judged by Felix King.

Commenting on the marketing management programme, EXMAN President, Tolulope Medebem emphasized that a driving purpose behind this programme is to expand the understanding of what experiential marketing entails and why it matters.

She stressed that there is a gap in knowledge on experiential marketing among key constituencies, ranging from professionals in adjacent fields to prospective clients.
