Cavista Holdings Appoints Wole Adedeji As Group Marketing Director

Cavista Holdings, a leading conglomerate in Technology, Agriculture, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Fintech has announced the appointment of Wole Adedeji as the new Group Marketing Director.

While announcing the appointment, the company on its LinkedIn page wrote “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Wole Adedeji as our new Group Marketing Director!”

Prior to his new appointment, he was the Head, Marketing Communication Planning & Strategy at Globacom where he was responsible foroverseeing the company’s entire communication roadmap’s successful deployment across numerous divisions, including Gloworld (Retail), Enterprise (B2B), Customer Care, sales enablement, and merchandising.

In his new position, Wole will be responsible for leading marketing, knowledge, strategy, execution & performance at the Holding Company with interests/subsidiaries in Technology, Hospitality, Agro-Business, Investment incubation, & Consulting.

Wole has over 20 years of experience across FMCG, Marketing Communication and Fintech companies. This includes Heineken/NB, Guinness/Diageo, Insight Communication, Interswitch Group, McCann & OMD. His experience also cover areas such as Brand and corporate communication, innovation development from concept to market, commercial planning/retail execution/Go-to-Market, Consumer Planning, brand sponsorship asset management, data science and insight, media planning and digital marketing among others.

He started his professional career at MediaReach OMD Lagos & Universal McCann as Media Planning & Buying where he managed key brand activities like the launch of Guinness Extra Smooth, the award winning Guinness Greatness campaign, Moments of greatness segment sponsorship, the relaunch of Satzenbrau Pilsner Lager among others.

He later joined Insight Communication Lagos as Strategy & Account Planning Manager where he was responsible for brand portfolio strategy design, prospecting new business, consumer trend tracking, crafting brand & communication strategy for accounts under his care, designing and distilling research reports/studies (U&A, FGD, and others).

Thereafter, he joined Guinness Nigeria as Senior Brand Manager, Malta Guinness where he was responsible for providing marketing judgment, strategic penetration, advisory for brand P&L, commercial insight, agency management, leadership and stakeholder management across business units, among others.

He later exited the company to join Heineken/Nigerian Breweries Plc as the company’s Marketing Manager, Maltina and he was later elevated to Head of Marketing (Expatriation) and later Head of Innovation & Head, Consumer Market Intelligence.

After he left Heineken, Wole joined Interswitch Group as Group Head Marketing and after that he left to join Churchgate Group as GM, Marketing, Brands And Communication.

Wole holds a Master’s Degree in strategic marketing from the University of Greenwich, London as well as a B.sc in Psychology from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University and M.sc Marketing and Management from the University of Lagos. He also holds numerous international certifications and is a fellow of several professional bodies.
