Ajibade Laolu-Adewale Elected New CeBIH Chairman

Seasoned IMC professional, Ajibade Laolu-Adewale has been elected the new Chairman of Committee of e-Business Industry Heads (CeBIH).
This is following the election of the committee held this week at Standard Chartered Bank Head Office, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ajibade has worked with Wema Bank for over 14 years where he has held several positions which include Head, Virtual Banking & ETF, and Head, Products & Commercials at ALAT by Wema. He is currently serving as the Group Head, Partnerships & Ecosystems, Wema Bank Plc.
He has previously served in executive roles within CeBIH as Secretary, OFIs & Fintech Relations, Secretary, Emerging Payments, and most recently, the Vice Chairman of CeBIH.
He brings to the fore, experience in the digital payment industry, information systems, and financial control ranging from collaboration with stakeholders, innovation, technology and research in the digital payments ecosystem.
With a strategic vision and expertise, he and his team promised to drive CeBIH forward in the dynamic field of electronic payments. The transition process will ensure continuity and seamless operations as CeBIH continues to serve its members and stakeholders.
Ajibade focuses on deepening relationships with government, businesses and consumers for acquisition, value-added transactions and support. Noted for his tech expertise, innovative contributions in electronic products and ecosystem development, operations, and marketing, Ajibade is a certified Cards and Payments Professional.
Committee of e-Business Industry Heads (CeBIH) is constituted of the upper echelon of electronic business industry practitioners in all Banks in Nigeria with its major and most important objective being the promotion of electronic banking services in line with “Global best practices”, whilst driving its adoption through right policies, standards, technologies and public awareness programs in Nigeria.
