Brand Or Be Bland: People Must See The Importance Of Branding In Their Personal And Business Lives – Lampe Omoyele
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nitro 121, Lampe Omoyele has revealed that the passion to encourage people to apply the principles of branding in their personal and business lives was a key factor that motivated him to write his latest book, ‘Brand Or Be Bland’.
He said this during an exclusive chat with Brand Communicator recently.
According to him, emulating the spirit of branding which is contained in the book will help people grow stronger and more impactful in their various spheres of influence.
Emphasizing the need for branding, Lampe stressed that to thrive in a world with over 8 billion people competing within the food chain, it is expedient to be differentiated from the motley crowd with a unique brand identity rather than just a face and a name.
“I believe that to become a leader in your sphere of influence, differentiation by branding is important. For anyone who would like to experience career and business growth, personal branding is crucial.
“Whatever you do, whether you are a student, ‘careerpreneur’, entrepreneur, homemaker, or civil servant, whatever you do; whichever generation you belong to, Gen Alpha, Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X or Baby Boomer, personal branding and differentiation would help you to drive positive perception and growth.”
Speaking on the motivation behind the book, he said “I wrote the book, ‘Brand or be Bland!’ to help people on their journey to becoming stronger brands. It is an easy-to-read book that provides a unique and proven framework, the 2 (ABC) Personal Branding Frameworks, which I developed from experience and observation, working for over 30 years on international and homegrown brands.
Speaking on what can be done to stimulate reading culture in Nigeria, Lampe urged parents and schools to collaborate to encourage children to read beyond the syllabus to pass examinations.
“Organize more book clubs and readings. Publishing houses and bookstores could run campaigns to encourage the book-reading culture. They could leverage perhaps World Book day which is commemorated annually on 23rd April.” He added.
Brand or Be Bland is a book that not only shares invaluable insights on personal branding but also guides the reader on how to effectively build and sustain a successful personal brand.
