Henry Nii Dottey Assumes New Role As Regional Head, Marketing & Corp. Comms, Anglophone West Africa For UBA Group
Marketing and corporate communications expert, Henry Nii Dottey has been elevated to the new position of Regional Head, Marketing & Corporate Communication, Anglophone West Africa at UBA Group.
Prior to his elevation, he was the Country Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA Ghana limited where he was responsible for strategy and execution of Corporate and Brand Communications, Public Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement, and CSR for the banking industry’s leader in digital and electronic banking.
Nii is an experienced Communications and Corporate Relations professional with solid cross-industry experience spanning mainstream media, governmental areas, and private financial service sectors.
A highly driven and self-motivated senior manager with a vision for excellence and a drive to deliver through a team of achievers in a competitive and world-class business environment, he boasts a proven track record and significant career achievements in corporate communications and government relations, he can manage reputations and conflicts and build a strong brand in a competing environment.
He has practical experience spanning over 20 years in Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Branding, and Media.
Nii started his career at Citi FM as Broadcast Journalist. Other places he has worked include VAT House Services, Ghana Revenue Authority, Insel Communications Limited, Student Loan Trust Fund, Dominion University College, Metropolitan, Media General Ghana, and Institute of Public Relations Ghana.
He is an accredited member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana, and has served as its elected honorary secretary since 2013. In March 2020, he was inducted as the institute’s Vice President until May 2024.
Nii holds a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from University of Ghana as well as Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from Ghana Institute of Journalism.
