Bodam Taiwo Joins Diageo West & Central Africa As Customer Marketing Director

Bodam Taiwo, a marketing and brand strategy Amazon has been appointed Customer Marketing Director for Diageo South, West & Central Africa.

Prior to her appointment, she worked at Pernod Ricard Nigeria, where she served as Head of Portfolio, Brand & Connect. There, she led strategic consumer marketing initiatives, shaped narratives for luxury brands, and collaborated with commercial teams to deliver sustainable top-line growth and market value.

With 18+ years of cross-industry expertise spanning FMCG, telecommunications, and mobile value-added services, Bodam brings a powerhouse of skills in brand strategy, consumer/customer marketing, product innovation, and leadership development.

It is expected that her track record of driving growth and crafting unforgettable brand experiences will propel the Diageo teams she will be leading and brands she will be handling to new heights.
 
Commenting on the appointment on its official LinkedIn page, Diageo wrote, “We can’t wait to see the transformative impact she (Taiwo) will bring to our teams, brands, and communities.”

Bodam’s career journey started at Huawei Technologies as an Assistant Commercial Engineer. Afterwards, she moved to Verity Nigeria as Client Executive.

She also worked at Fun Mobile Limited as Business Development Manager, Music. She also had a stint at Guinness Nigeria where she served as National Channel Manager, Modern Trade; Divisional Operations and Performance Manager; and Customer Marketing Manager.

She was also at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company where she worked as Premium Spirit Trade Marketing Manager (Brown-Forman Portfolio).

Bodam Taiwo holds an MSc in Mobile and Satellite Communications from University of Surrey as well as BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from University of Reading.
