Purple Stardust Wins Bronze Again At 2025 Pitcher Awards For Leadway Assurance’s “No Looseguard” Campaign
…Purple Stardust has done it again

For the second year in a row, Purple Stardust has won a Bronze Pitcher Award, cementing its place as one of Africa’s most imaginative creative forces. This year’s honour? The Use of Media category, for their unforgettable work on Leadway Assurance’s “No Looseguard” campaign.
Beyond brand activation, the campaign was a wake-up call that asked Nigerians to think twice about insurance, using humour, bold street presence, and perfectly timed media drops to break through the noise.
“We weren’t chasing virality,” said Leye Makanjuola, CEO of Purple Stardust. “We wanted to shift how people think. To turn insurance from a dull obligation into something worth talking about. Something real. This campaign did that, and the award just confirms it.”
The campaign kicked off without warning. In January, Lagosians started spotting people in bright orange jackets, “Life Comes At You Fast” printed on the chest, “No Looseguard” on the back. No logos. No context. Just curiosity.
Social media picked it up fast. Influencers joined in. Twitter threads exploded with theories. And then, the twist: Leadway was behind it. Alongside the reveal came the Auto Insurance video (first of eight commercial videos), which was dropped the same day, flooding timelines and comments with surprise, laughter, and reflection. It was witty, relatable, and expertly crafted for shareability.
What set the campaign apart was how everything came together. The media strategy layered traditional insight with modern instinct, knowing when to hold back, when to drop, and how to let culture do the heavy lifting. The campaign went beyond reach. It found a way into how the people speak, joke, and plan.
Last year, the agency stunned the industry with an audacious self-launch that won its first Pitcher. This year, it’s doing what great agencies do: delivering breakthrough ideas for clients, not just for themselves.
Two years. Two wins. And no signs of slowing down.
“Winning again means a lot,” Leye added. “But what matters most is that we’re helping brands move culture forward. That’s the work we’re proud of. That’s why Purple Stardust exists, and we can’t wait to create more marketing campaigns that deliver truly unforgettable experiences for our clients.”
