Ideas Origin Media Appoints Samuel Olorundare As Creative Director

In a move to continue to reinforce itself as a stronger creative powerhouse, Ideas Origin Media has appointed Samuel Olorundare as its new creative director, a remarkable blend of artistic depth, strategic thinking, innovative writing and a decade-long track record of creative excellence.
His creative journey is decorated with numerous accolades that reflect both the breadth and impact of his work. He was a recipient of the Young Lions Award (Film Category) in 2016 and was awarded a Miami Ad School Scholarship in 2018. In 2023, he played a pivotal role as part of the creative team behind Soot City, the campaign that earned Nigeria its first-ever Cannes Lions Award (Bronze), marking a historic moment in the country’s advertising industry.
His work on FCCPC had also won 2 Lisbon Awards and he has been a 14-time LAIF Awards winner. His experimental body of work, The X-periment Album, received a Pitchers Award in 2023, while Soot City further clinched 2 Grand Prix, 2 Gold, and 1 Silver at the same awards show. In addition, Sam was honoured at the OAAN Awards (2022), the Marketing Edge Awards for his work on Peak Diamond Brand, and earned a Pitchers Award for ESCAPE 2020. Most recently, one of his works also won an African Cristal Award in 2024.
Over the years, Sam has led and collaborated on campaigns for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Google, YouTube, Pepsi, Heineken, Unilever, DStv, StarTimes, Showmax, Absolut, Martell, Glenlivet, Jameson, Oraimo, Golden Penny, Knorr, Royco, and many more. His work has spanned industries from tech to FMCG, from entertainment to luxury, and consistently delivered insight-driven, visually compelling narratives.
In his new role as Creative Director at Ideas Origin Media, Sam will oversee the agency’s creative vision, lead the charge on bold storytelling, and guide a new era of impactful campaigns for clients. His appointment signals the agency’s deepening commitment to boundary-pushing creativity backed by strategic thinking.
