BBNaija10/10 mansion was buzzing with excitement on the 18th day of the reality TV show as Lurpak, from the stables of Arla, took the housemates and viewers through an entertaining and creative culinary showdown in its “Your Food Deserves Lurpak” task.
As the fifth brand task of the season, Lurpak creatively showcased that it is the king of all butters, and its products enhance meals, unite families, and provide premium experiences to viewers.
The challenge was specially curated to highlight the health benefits of some of the brand’s offerings as a healthier option for people with some health challenges. The task brought a perfect blend of teamwork, mental sharpness, and culinary creativity, leaving viewers entertained from start to finish.
The brand engaged the housemates in three challenges: The Egg Race Puzzle game, the Relay cooking challenge and the Lurpak Cooking show presentation.
Before the game, the housemates were grouped into four teams: Team Lurpak Choplife, Team Lurpak Premium, Team Lurpak Ajebota and Team Lurpak Soft Life.
For the Egg Race Puzzle game, the housemates were presented with a plastic spoon and an egg with puzzle cards. The teams had three representatives. The first representative picked three puzzle pieces with an egg in a plastic spoon, handed them over to the second team member, who transported the puzzle to the third team member, who solved the puzzle on the board.
The three representatives continued till the puzzle was completed. At the end of the game, the first team got 20 points, the second 15 points, the third 10 points and the last team five points.
Lurpak introduced a cooking task with a twist in the second game, the Relay Cooking Challenge. Note that the puzzle game was a reference to what each team would prepare in the cooking challenge. The teams accurately prepared the meals and served them as shown in the puzzle.
All team members partook in the cooking. Like the relay race, a team member starts cooking when the bell rings, the team member switches with the next team member, who takes over the cooking while the other team members cheer him or her on. It continued till food preparation and serving were completed. Each team plated two portions of each meal and covered them properly. Two plates for tasting and two plates for presentation.
Each team was judged by team involvement, meal plating, cleanliness and taste, each with 10 points.
The last task of the day was a five-minute Lurpak Cooking show presentation with Lurpak Butter as the star ingredient. During the presentation, each team described how every kitchen needed Lurpak as the star ingredient and how it elevated their meals.
They also described the health benefits of the different variants of Lurpak Butter and why it’s important to include it in every meal.
Some team members said Lurpak is the undisputed king of butter since 1901, showing the viewers how they need Lurpak for their food. Some teams spoke of the health benefits and how the product is the best option for everyone in the family.
Also, some teams said Lurpak unites other ingredients in foods and enhances the taste, as well as adds a premium taste to a lower-class meal like concoction rice.
At the end of the game, Team Softlife – Isabella, Victory, Thelma, Big Soso, Faith, Bright, & Kaybobo, emerged the winner of the fifth brand task of Big Brother Naija 10/10 show.
From start to finish, Team Softlife displayed outstanding teamwork, balance, and precision. They tackled the obstacle course with energy, pieced together their puzzle with speed and accuracy, and sealed their victory with an impressive cooking presentation that wowed both the judges and viewers.
