It also used the spotlight to call to mind how Indomie creates bonds, memorable moments and unforgettable experiences with friends and family to the viewers.
The task brought the housemates’ communication skills, quick decision-making, creativity, and teamwork to the test in a competition that celebrated both flavour and fun.
Team Oriental Fried Noodles, Team Indomie Crayfish and Team Indomie Chicken Peppersoup are three of its hot, spicy, and full of flavour variants.
The competition involved multiple phases of activities. At the end, the team with the highest score across all activities emerged as the winner.
The first activity was called the Crossword Puzzle, kicked off with the first with flavourful ingredients from the Indomie Chicken Peppersoup, Indomie Oriental, and Indomie Crayfish varieties. The housemates were provided with an ingredients pot filled with colourful balls with hidden Indomie ingredients. A podium with a list of ingredients for each team and a puzzle board.
Each team had three representatives. The first team member called out the team’s ingredients from the list on the podium, the second member searched for them in the ingredients pot, while the last representative crossed out the word on the puzzle board. The team was not to find another ingredient from the pot until the one mentioned had been crossed off the board. Each team had 5 minutes to complete the task, and 30 points were given to the winning team.
The next game was called, Show Some Love Behind My Back. For this game, the three teams wrote some positive words, love letters, words of affirmation on each other’s backs. Each team nominated three members to write positive words and put them on the backpack of a blindfolded team member from the opposing team, who removed the blindfold and guessed who wrote the words. Every correct guess earned five points for the team.
The next game was the cooking and presentation competition. This game showcased the three major cultures in Nigeria through their dishes.
Team Chicken Pepper soup represented the Northern region, Team Oriental Fried Noodles represented the West, while Team Crayfish represented the Eastern part of the country. Each team used the ingredients they unravelled during the word puzzle.
Biggie instructed them to nominate four members of their teams, two to prepare the meal and two members (a male and a female) for the food presentation.
For this game, the three teams were judged by the aesthetic look, creativity, time management and how well the team embodied the region they represent. Each of these criteria had 10 points attached to it.
At the end of the task, Biggie announced Team Indomie Oriental Fried Noodles, comprising Thelma, Otega, Dede, Koyin, Jason, Kuture, Imisi, Kayikunmi, and Sultana as winners of the sixth BBNaija season 10 brand task with 62 points.
