For years, the Supa Komando Brand has brought to the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) show the zest, the thrill, and the energy that gives the show the much-needed Adrenaline push it requires. And this season’s edition is no different, as the energy drink brand brought 10 times the energy, 10 times the fire, and 10 times the action to its “Nothing But 10nergy” task, a challenge designed to test strength, endurance, strategy, and determination.
Comrades, as the housemates in the Supa Komando task are known, fought hard for the bragging right to be Supa Komando Man and Woman for the BBNaija season 10, eighth brand task. Comrade Faith and Comrade Dede emerged as the Supa Komando Man and Woman.
The “Nothing But 10nergy” Supa Komando task identifies with the daily challenges of consumers and reinforces the Supa Komando brand as a reliable companion during tough times.
The task was divided into three major segments, with eliminations at each stage until a Supa Komando Man and Woman were crowned. The games were all played individually.
The first game, called the Journey Map, which tested the housemates’ speed and physical energy, was played within a few seconds. In this task, the housemates picked two sack bags from a platform, went through a tunnel, climbed on a wooden ramp, walked on a wooden beam back to the starting point, and screamed Fire on to indicate completion of the game. At the end of this stage, the first eight female and male housemates to complete the game proceeded to the next round.
The second phase of the game, ‘The Match and Balance’, was further divided into two games. The first game had the housemates select cards from a green and a black bag. Those who selected the same card match played against each other in a tricky test of focus and stability. The task required them to place one ball on a tray, hold it by the top edges, and then deposit two balls inside different cylinders without dropping them.
The second game required the housemates to go over and under a long bar to the end. At the end of this level, 12 housemates were eliminated, and four made it to the next level.
The remaining four housemates who made it to the last stage of the game were Comrade Kola, Comrade Faith, Comrade Dede, and Comrade Joan, and they fought hard for the position of Supa Komando man and woman in the game called the Cipher.
The remaining four housemates were to find a bottle of Supa Komando energy drink from the three boxes they were provided with. They began the game by searching for hidden keys tucked behind leaves. The men searched for green holder keys, while the women looked for red holder keys.
Kola and Faith played against each other, and Dede and Joan did the same thing. They were to find the keys to the three boxes. The first key found in the bushes was for the biggest box. They found a key to the smaller box when they opened the biggest one. To open the smallest box, Biggie gave them a code, where they eventually found a bottle of the energy drink brand.
The fastest male and female, Comrade Faith and Comrade Dede, were named Supa Komando man and woman for the BBNaija season 10 reality TV show. Faith and Dede not only showed strength but also resilience and sharp focus, earning the ultimate bragging rights as this season’s Supa Komando champions.
