It was fun, high energy, and excitement as MunchiT took over the spotlight on day 31 of the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 10 in its brand task. The MunchiT sponsored challenge is the 11th brand task of the season.
The Nigerian corn snack brand painted a vivid image of the memorable laughter, high energy, creativity, and togetherness that munching its delicious different flavours evokes in the minds of both housemates and viewers.
The brand from the stables of Kelloggs Tolaram tested the housemates’ energy, teamwork, balance, and competitive spirit in its four different games.
To play the games, the housemates were split into different groups, each representing a unique MunchiT flavour: Cheesy Stix- Tracy, Dede, Thelma, Koyin, and Joanna; Creamy Crunch- Kola, Mide, Kaybobo, and Rooboy; Sweet Surprise- Bright, Denari, Isabella, Faith, and Imisi; Hot Chilli- Sultana, Mensan, Jason, and Doris; and Sour Cream and Onion- Zita, Kuture, Ivatar, and Big Soso.
The first task was a game of puzzle challenge. The teams were given a puzzle board, with cards to form the flavour of the snack it represents, within a stipulated time. Team Sweet Surprise finished first and won 20 points.
The second game was a throwing of coloured balls into a bucket being held by a housemate. At the end of the game, 45 points were removed from team Sweet Surprise for flouting the rules of the game.
The next game was a Ludo game. Biggie gave the housemates a big board of Ludo and a die. Each team had a representative who rolled the die and counted the number that appeared on the die on the board. The teams played against each other and had the liberty to knock out their opponents. The housemates would shout ‘Game over’ for a team that is kicked out, and the representative of the losing team would to their seats.
For the last game for the night, the housemates searched for Munch-It in a closed box. To play the game, each team selected two representatives. One representative searched for a number in a box full of balls and read them out to the other representative, who searched for words in a chest full of coloured balls.
The representative who found the code would run to open a closed box, pull out the MunchiT flavour, and lift it up for Biggie to see.
Each team gave their all, putting in creativity and effort to stand out with their tasks. From catchy jingles to entertaining performances, the housemates went all out to impress.
After all the fun, energy, and competitive spirit, Team Sweet Surprise (Bright, Denari, Isabella, Faith, and Imisi) emerged as the winners of the MunchiT Task.
Their teamwork, performance, and overall creativity earned them the top spot, making them the champions of the week’s brand task.
