Lagos witnessed what has been described as a groundbreaking creative event as Ayodotun Akinfenwa, brand expert and author of Fire Up Your Brand, hosted the first-ever Adobe Express Bootcamp in Nigeria and across Africa.

The bootcamp, created in partnership with the global Adobe team, brought together more than 70 participants in person and several others online, creating a vibrant hybrid learning space for creative professionals, small business owners, entrepreneurs, marketing and communications experts, and students eager to sharpen their design and branding skills.

The Adobe Express Bootcamp Lagos was designed to introduce African creative, career professionals and SME founders to the power of Adobe Express, Adobe’s fast-growing AI-powered design and content creation platform.

Through interactive practical exercises and energetic group presentations based on real-world brand use cases, participants learned how to create professional designs quickly without needing advanced graphic design skills, leverage AI tools for faster content creation, editing, and brand storytelling, streamline workflow and collaboration across creative and business teams and build stronger brand identities that communicate ideas with clarity and impact, among others.

“There is a tremendous opportunity on the African continent to reach creators and empower them to build their brands, produce content easily, and support their enterprises. The energy in the room was palpable! While many of the attendees are already Adobe Creative Cloud users, what stood out was how Adobe Express enables them to design faster, collaborate seamlessly, and bring their ideas to life without limits — and within budget. I remain dedicated to any cause that helps Africans create magnetic brands and content easily,” said Ayodotun Akinfenwa.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many taking to social media to share testimonials and highlights from the event. Participants praised the practical learning experience, the ease of using Adobe Express, and the transformative impact it can have on their businesses and creative work. Speaking on this, one of the attendees speaking on this inaugural Adobe initiative, Mrs Edna Bode-Augusto, stated: “I’m glad I came because we have a good experience and we need to play the global game, Nigeria is ready for the world.”

The Adobe Express Bootcamp Lagos reflects the increasing demand for accessible digital tools that empower African creatives and entrepreneurs. As Nigeria and Africa continue to experience exponential growth in the digital economy, equipping professionals with tools like Adobe Express helps them stay competitive in local and global markets produce high-quality content for social media, marketing, and storytelling, maximize efficiency with AI-driven design and editing features, expand creative expression without steep learning curves, among others.

This inaugural bootcamp serves as a launchpad for Adobe Express adoption across Africa, ensuring that creatives, SMEs, and professionals have the skills to thrive in today’s fast-paced, design-driven world.
