ARCON Hosts Industry Dialogue On Economic Resilience & Growth Strategies For 2026

In a strategic move to prepare industry stakeholders for evolving economic and business terrain, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has announced a major virtual engagement with the theme “Navigating Economic Realities: Lessons from 2025, Strategies for 2026.”
The high-level webinar is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, via Zoom, from 12:00 noon to 1:20 pm (WAT).
The session, hosted by Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Director-General of ARCON, is expected to bring together leading voices from advertising, finance, marketing, and media to examine Nigeria’s economic outlook and its implications for the creative and communications ecosystem.
According to ARCON, the webinar forms part of its continuous efforts to strengthen industry resilience, promote regulatory compliance, and stimulate informed decision-making in a rapidly changing economic environment.
With Nigeria’s economy experiencing persistent fluctuations, inflationary pressures, currency volatility, and shifting consumer behaviour, industry experts agree that 2025 has been a defining year for businesses and marketers alike. Against this backdrop, ARCON’s initiative seeks to provide stakeholders with practical insights and forward-looking strategies for 2026.
The webinar will feature Muyiwa Oni, Regional Head of Equity Research for West Africa at Standard Bank Group (Stanbic IBTC), as the keynote speaker.
Widely respected for his economic analysis and market intelligence, Mr. Oni is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of Nigeria’s macroeconomic performance in 2025, emerging trends, and projections for 2026. His address will focus on how businesses, particularly in advertising and marketing, can adapt to fiscal policies, investment patterns, and changing consumer dynamics.
Industry observers anticipate that his presentation will shed light on critical issues such as exchange rate stability, inflation management, capital market trends, and private sector growth prospects.
The webinar will feature a panel session where participants will engage with a distinguished panel comprising Emeka Okeke, Executive Chairman & Group CEO, MediaFuse Dentsu International; Lanre Adisa, Chairman, HASG; and Manpreet Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Tolaram Group.
Each panellist brings decades of experience in advertising, branding, media planning, and corporate leadership, positioning the session for rich, practical discussions.
The session will be moderated by Brenda Nwagwu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of QVT Media Limited, a seasoned media executive known for her insightful industry engagements.
The panel is expected to explore topics such as budget optimisation, consumer trust, digital transformation, brand resilience, regulatory compliance, and innovation in challenging economic conditions.
Beyond economic analysis, the webinar aims to strengthen collaboration between regulators and practitioners. Participants will gain insights into how policy frameworks and market realities intersect, and how agencies and brands can remain compliant while pursuing growth.
According to ARCON, the webinar is open to advertising professionals, media executives, marketers, corporate leaders, students, and other stakeholders. Interested participants are encouraged to register via the link provided in ARCON’s official bio section.
After registration, participants will receive a confirmation email containing details for joining the Zoom session.
