Fourth NPRW 2026 Pre-Conference Webinar Holds February 26

The National Planning Committee of Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) 2026 will host its fourth pre-conference webinar on Thursday, February 26, at 11:00 AM WAT. The session is part of a series designed to prepare PR professionals for the main conference in Croc City.
This year’s webinar is themed “Digital Agriculture and Emerging Technologies: The Role of PR in Public Enlightenment.” It will explore how public relations can help communicate new agricultural practices and emerging technologies to the public. Participants will gain practical insights into sharing complex information in ways that engage and educate audiences effectively.
Chief Host Dr Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of the Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), will lead the session, while His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, will serve as the Host Governor. Chief Yomi Badejo Okusanya, Chairman of the NPRW 2026 Planning Committee, will oversee proceedings and guide participants.
The session will be moderated by Achiane Runyi Adams, Senior Information/PRO at the Ministry of Information & Orientation and Head of Corporate Communications, Cross River Internal Revenue Service. Expert speakers include Prof. Demo Kalla, Director of TETFund Research & Development Centre of Excellence on Food Security, ATBU Bauchi, and Mrs. Maryam Abdullahi, who will discuss capacity building, partnerships, and land project training. Together, they will provide participants with practical strategies for applying public relations in key sectors.
Registration is open online via Zoom, and all participants will receive a confirmation email with details on how to join. Segun McMedal, representing the Training & Faculty Sub-committee, encouraged professionals to join the session, noting it is an opportunity to learn from experts, network with peers, and gain valuable tools ahead of the main event.
The pre-conference webinar series underscores NPRW 2026’s commitment to equipping PR practitioners with knowledge, skills, and connections that are directly applicable in their work. By linking emerging trends with real-world public relations practice, participants are better prepared to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s communication landscape during the main conference and beyond.
