BUA MD,Ayodele Abioye Set To Deliver Keynote At 2026 Industry Summit

The 2026 Industry Summit, themed “The Year of the Real Sector”, is set to host a distinguished keynote speaker: Dr. Ayodele Musibau Abioye, Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc.

Dr. Abioye, a seasoned business leader and engineer with over 30 years of experience, will deliver a paper titled “Unlocking Value: BUA Foods’ Role in Transforming Nigeria’s Real Sector Through Innovation and Sustainability”. 

The 7th edition of the summit will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The summit will feature notable panelists, including Adeola Amosun (Tolaram), Abisoye Oruye (FrieslandCampina WAMCO), Henry Ononiwu (PHD Nigeria), and Oluwaponmile Alabi (Guinness Nigeria), among others.

Goddie Ofose, convener of the event, described Dr. Abioye as “a results-driven leader with proven expertise in operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, and business development, with a track record of delivering consistent growth.”

Since joining BUA Group as COO in 2021, Dr. Abioye has overseen the company’s growth into a leading player in Nigeria’s food sector. 

His previous roles include General Manager at Seven-Up Bottling Company, Country Technical Director at Coca-Cola Nigeria, Regional Supply Chain Director at Nigerian Bottling Co. Ltd, and COO at Secure ID Ltd.

Dr. Abioye holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and Technology from the University of Ilorin, a Master’s in Engineering Management, and a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Benin. He is a registered engineer with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN and serves on the advisory board of the University of Ilorin’s Food Engineering Department.

The summit will be chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investments, Senator John Owan Enoh, with special guests including Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso; Senior Special Assistant to the Nigerian President on New Media and Digital Communications, O’tega Ogra; and Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile.

Dr. Abioye’s leadership philosophy focuses on strategy execution, sustainability, governance, and associates’ development. He is an example of how vision, experience, and innovation can drive growth in Nigeria’s real sector.
