LaPRIGA: After Winning PR Magazine of The Year For Four Years, Brand Communicator’s Joshua Ajayi Clinches Media Personality Laurel

After dominating the ‘PR Magazine of the Year’ category for four consecutive years, winning in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 at the grand PR industry’s Oscar- Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards (LaPRIGA) which is organised by the flagship chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Brand Communicator’s Editor-In-Chief, Joshua Ajayi has emerged winner of the PR Journalist of the Year Award in 2021.

Ajayi was nominated alongside other veteran journalists in the category. He won following a nomination process that involved a selection panel made up of seasoned industry professionals led by Chido Nwakanma, Chief Executive of Blueflower Limited who is on the Adjunct Faculty of the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, and a voting process by members of the Lagos NIPR Chapter.

According to LaPRIGA, the award was presented to Ajayi “for upholding the highest professional standard in journalism and in-depth public relations editorial.” Among other features and articles, Ajayi’s factual and insightfully delivered Editor’s Note Page in Brand Communicator is known to shape conversations in the IMC Industry and set agenda for the growth of the PR industry.

Ajayi who is also the Managing Director/CEO of Awesome Communications, Publishers of the leading multi-award-winning Brands, Marketing and Sustainability focused publication-Brand Communicator, without doubt, is an influential media magnate out of Africa who has carved a niche for himself in the IMC industry. Despite the numerous odds and challenges which typically characterize the publishing/print content industry, particularly in this part of the world, he has been able to carve a niche with the ‘Brand Communicator’, making it the most consistent, the most awarded, and the most visible publication in the IMC industry.

Ajayi is also the convener and visioner of the prestigious Women in Marketing Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA), the largest gathering of female marketing communications professionals in West Africa; BRANDCOMFEST-the largest gathering of professionals and stakeholders in the marketing communications industry in West Africa and BRANDCOM Awards-a prestigious platform for the celebration and recognition of excellence in the marketing communications and allied industry.

Brand Communicator  emerged  the Best Company in CSR Reporting for 2020 at the Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (SERAS) 2020 beating stiff competition from Channels Television and Arise Television who were in the same category. Before then, Brand Communicator was nominated for the Best Small and Medium Company of the Year category at the 10th edition of the SERAS in 2016 and clinched the second runner-up as Best Company in Sustainability Reporting in 2018.

Brand Communicator is also in partnership with internationally acclaimed creative showcases including the Loeries and Cristal Awards in South Africa and Morocco Respectively.
