Leo Burnett Lagos’ Esosa Osagiede Named in D&AD Jury

Creative Lead for Lagos-based global advertising powerhouse, Leo Burnett Lagos, Esosa Osagiede, has been named in the prestigious list of persons from around the world to form the jury for the forthcoming D&AD Awards.
D&AD is an education charity that promotes excellence in design and advertising. Now in its 60th consecutive year, the D&AD Awards have grown to incorporate more than 40 categories, judged by a cohort of nearly 400 of the world’s leading creatives from across the full spectrum of design, advertising, craft, production and impact disciplines. Esosa will be judging in the editing category of the global awards platform.
In her current role at Leo Burnett Lagos, she oversees the agency’s entire creative process, including digital. She is a storyteller with a unique blend of advertising and marketing skills with over a decade’s experience working in culturally diverse corporate environments.
Esosa began her career at Centerspread FCB and went over to 141 Worldwide (Now known as Nitro 121). At 141 Worldwide, she spent some time before moving on to Leo Burnett Lagos in 2016 as Group Head Copy and was then promoted to Team Lead.
Her portfolio cuts across different industries, working on brands and projects such as FirstBank, Etisalat (now 9Mobile), World Bank-Lighting Africa Project, MultiChoice, Nestle, British American Tobacco, Nigerian Breweries brands, PMI, Chivita, Cadbury, among others.
Esosa is an eternal student of humankind, a bold philosophy unique to Leo Burnett—which represents the notion that ads must be centred on meaningful human experiences. Esosa strives to create acts, not ads, connecting creative ideas with real-world outcomes.
She has also served as a juror on other local and international creative committees. When she is not slaying briefs at Leo Burnett Lagos, she shares her knowledge with other marketing and communications professionals on different platforms, lending her voice on topics that help elevate the IMC conversation globally.
She is an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife where she studied Dramatic Arts. She is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, The Orange Academy, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
