Foremost marketing communications professional, Gerald Osugo has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer of the Nile University of Nigeria.

At Nile University of Nigeria, Gerald will be responsible for strategy formulation and implementation; communications, marketing, and brand management by providing strategic support on integrated marketing and corporate communications.

He will also be leveraging multiple platforms and partnerships to amplify the institution’s brand and develop appropriate messages to attract students, engage alumni and stakeholders as well as increase public awareness of the institution.

Gerald joined the institution as the Director, Strategy and Business Development in May 2022. Prior to joining the institution, he was the Head, Media Planning and Management, at Etisalat Nigeria where he developed and implemented the company’s media planning strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives across all segments and ensured effective visibility in media channels and consumer touch points for the corporate and product brands and efficient media buy.

He has also worked at FK:G2 Nigeria, where he delivered 360-degree marketing communication strategies covering areas like public relations, experiential marketing, media planning, ATL and BTL communications, and new media.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Mass Communication/Media Studies from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka.

His skills include Data Analysis, Public Relations, New Business Development, Advertising, Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, Media Planning, Integrated Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Product Management, amongst a host of others.
