Pitcher Awards Introduces ‘Campaign Of The Year’ To Recognize Integrated Creative Excellence

The Pitcher Awards has introduced a new award known as “Campaign of the Year Award,’ marking a significant addition to its line up of excellence awards ahead of the 2026 season. The new award represents a methodological shift in how the institution evaluates campaign submissions.
The Campaign of the Year winner will be selected by averaging the points from all submissions. This approach aims to ensure comprehensive evaluation of campaign excellence while maintaining the integrity of the core Campaign Award category.
The Pitcher Awards emphasized that the introduction reflects its commitment to merit-based judging practices. According to the announcement, every work is evaluated solely on quality, without quotas or artificial category limitations that could disadvantage strong submissions.
“Merit-based judging ensures fairness, protects the value of the awards, and prevents great ideas from being discarded simply because a category has reached an artificial limit,” the organization stated.
The new category complements the Pitcher Awards’ existing suite of special awards, which continue to operate under points-based systems. These include Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year, Digital Agency of the Year, Agency Network of the Year, Media Agency Network of the Year, National Recognition, and Brand and Marketing Company of the Year.
The awards recognize cumulative performance across multiple categories and serve as benchmarks for excellence across Africa’s creative and marketing sectors.
