TERRAGON Group Wins Unilever Ghana Digital Business
Leading Africa’s digital marketing company, Terragon Group has been saddled with new responsibilities via Unilever Ghana’s offshore digital marketing assignments involving Lifebuoy, Sunlight and Pepsodent brands.
The company became the preffered agency for the new business on the heels of the company’s ability to serve brands especially Unilever brands in key markets across Africa and its impressive performance – achieving and surpassing set targets for brands it manages for Unilever Nigeria over the past three years.
The service expansion which took effect from March 2017 is a multi-year agreement to manage, sustain and grow share of voice for the three brands as well as enhance engagement across relevant digital and mobile touchpoints.
The award winning digital marketing company’s responsibilities on the new business will span the entire spectrum of digital marketing. These include strategy, media, social, creative as well as other digital transformation initiatives focused on delivering measurable marketing results.
According to Anu Sanya, Head of Business and Strategic Partnerships, Terragon Digital, the appointment is proof of consistent delivery of value to clients.
“For over 3 years, we have leveraged on digital to drive results for Close Up, Pepsodent, Rexona, Sunlight, Vaseline and Pears. Unilever is family to us and we are excited to inject the much-needed spark into the Ghanaian market just as we have been doing in Nigeria. We are also fortunate to have in Unilever a client partner that believes in what we can accomplish with them in the digital landscape. It is an honour to build upon such a long-standing partnership. I can’t wait to see what’s to come” she said.
One of the many successful digital initiatives driven by Terragon for Unilever Nigeria was the #BrushBrushCampaign for Pepsodent which emerged 1st at the World Oral Health Day 2016 competition both at the continental level, where it was 1st ahead of 9 countries, and at the global level where it was 1st ahead of 31 countries. The success of this initiative was measured by the delivery of over 1 million pledges from a fully integrated campaign across multiple touchpoints with best-in-class digital and in-market activation.
Commenting on the extended relationship, Andre Tayo Jnr, Communication Channel Manager, Ghana/Nigeria said, “Terragon has been a reliable business partner and they have contributed to the growth of our brands in their care. In consolidating our Nigeria and Ghana operations, we were excited to learn that Terragon could provide the same level of support to our brands in Ghana. We look forward to them bringing their innovative excellence to create more value for our consumers in both markets” he said.
With Terragon’s presence in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana and its consequent ability to deliver services to clients who have operations that span the continent, Unilever is set to take advantage of the significant benefits that accrue from working with a single agency across diverse markets. The partnership which has been further strengthened by this expansion will foster better alignment to business goals, streamlined operations, leaner span of control, cost reduction, communication quality consistency amongst others.
