Breaking: Sam Osunsoko Quits Leo Burnett Lagos

Managing Director of Leo Burnett Lagos, Samuel Osunsoko has resigned his appointment with the Troyka Group bringing his 18 and half years of meritorious service to a close.

Our reliable source said that Osunsoko has given his mandatory notice to the management of Troyka Group and his resignation takes effect from March this year.

Until his resignation, Osunsoko won many accounts for the agency since opening shop a few years ago. During his tenure, the agency’s first campaign, Konga was shortlisted in 2015 at the Cristal Award when the agency was few months old. The same campaign also won Campaign of the Year 2015 at the Marketing World Award.

Apart, Leo Burnett occupies the seventh position on the medal table of the 2017 Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival Awards with 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze totalling 5 medals.

It will also be recalled that the agency, under Osunsoko changed the game at the 2016 LAIF Awards by becoming fourth on the medal table. The agency won 13 medals in overall.  Leo Burnett won three Gold, five Silver and five Bronze medals.

Before joining Leo Burnett, Osunsoko was account Director at Insight Communications from October 2012 – December 2014.

He attended University of Duke –Fuqua School of Business for a Leadership Programme. He is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School where he did his Senior Management Programme and Advanced Management Programme in Marketing and Business Management.
